Service Protocols
ACBC will continue to produce a livestream option of our morning worship service for those with health vulnerabilities or who find themselves quarantined. This service can be viewed at 10:30 on our YouTube channel, our FaceBook page, or at abramcreek.com under “video sermons.”
Beginning June 7, 2020 we will reinstate two morning services in the building. The 9:00 service will have only instumental and precorded music with no singing to provide added protection for those who are vulnerable. The 10:30 service will have singing at the end of the service. The congregation to be released immediately afterwards. Pastor Beight will preach the same message at both services.
There will be no Sunday school or nursery programs. These additional ministries will be phased in as soon as we receive the appropriate recommendations.
Families with small children who choose to attend a live service have the options of sitting together in the same auditorium row or staying in either of the two nurseries or in the ladies lounge. Families will be responsible for their own children. The congregation will need to adjust to having young children in the worship service.
Safety Precautions
We will eliminate all unnecessary physical contact, such as no hymnals, pew Bibles, offering plates or greeting time and will prop open doors if possible. An offering box has been placed in the lobby.
Chairs have been arranged to create six feet between rows and groupings.
Initially, we plan to take the temperature of attendees as they enter the building using no-touch scanners administered by protected volunteers. Anyone with a temperature registering over 99.5 will be denied entry. Those with a temperature between 98.7 and 99.5 will be issued a face covering. An individual may take his/her temperature at home and bring a date-stamped photo of the result.
Face-coverings are requested for those over the age of 10 who do not have a medical condition that prohibits them from do so. Masks will be available upon request as supplies allow.
Hand sanitizing stations will be situated at main entry/exit doors, as well as near nursery, toddler classroom, and the Welcome Center.
The Welcome Center will not be open for serving beverages or for self-service, but attendees may bring their own coffee or water.
Fellowship time should take place in the lobby or outside with everyone observing social distancing.
Sanitation Procedures
Auditorium seats and compromised surfaces will be disinfected between services. Attendees will mark their seats with a post-it note to facilitate this procedure.
Attendees are being asked to sanitize all surfaces that they use in the restrooms using Clorox or Lysol wipes. These wipes should not be flushed, but placed in the trash can.
Parents may use the changing table and the limited number of toys in the nurseries, but should sanitize these items after use.
