Abram Creek Baptist Church exists as the direct result of God's working. By His leading, two older churches were able to combine into a newer church, committed to reaching a new generation of believers for Jesus Christ. Again, by the perfect timing and leading of the Lord, the church has been able to purchase land and modify its facilities to better impact the community in which God has now placed us. Yet, as great as our property retrofit might be, we are not just wanting to increase our visible thumbprint in Brook Park. No, our goal is to glorify God by the faithful proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ! We have not strayed from our heritage, but we do have a fresh atmosphere of excitement and activity. We praise God for the renewed passion and purpose that unifies our congregation of *"worshippers of Christ and witnesses for Christ."
Our Children's Church program is designed for first through fourth graders. Initially, the children enter the sanctuary with their parents in order to experience worship with the adults. During the song service, they are dismissed with a teacher and escorted to our Children's Church room. Here the worship continues as they learn about God and His Son, Jesus Christ, in age appropriate lessons, crafts, games, memory verses, and songs. Each quarter introduces a new theme. Last year the children discovered the fruits of the Spirit through God's Word and this fall brought a camping theme incorporating lessons about the apostle Paul. Currently, the theme will be taking a Journey with Jesus. Plan now to have your child participate in a unique and exciting tour of the places in Israel where Jesus actually walked.
Youth Group @ Abram Creek is for grades 7-12 and meets on Sunday night from 6:00 to 7:30PM Our youth ministry exists for the purpose of making disciples and showing students the importance of living consistently Christ-centered lives. We accomplish this through biblical teaching, godly examples and an array of activities from weekly youth group to periodical outings and services projects, to yearly retreats and camps. We hope that by encouraging ministry involvement today that we can show our youth that they are not only the leaders of the future but also the leaders of the present. We are successful when students accept the life-changing implications of the Gospel and take the message to world around them.
